Lovejoy Dental
COVID-19 UPDATE

April 2023

Starting April 3, 2023, the Oregon Health Authority will no longer require individuals to wear masks in healthcare settings. This change is in response to recent data showing overall decreases in rates of flu, RSV, and COVID-19, after they surged last fall and overwhelmed our hospitals. Lovejoy Dental is committed to protecting the health of our patients, their families, and our staff. With the end of mandatory masking in healthcare settings, Lovejoy Dental will be using the following mask policy as of April 3rd:

  • Anyone may choose to continue wearing a mask at any time.
  • We will respect all those who choose to wear a mask.
  • Patients with symptoms of infectious disease—including cough, sneezing, runny nose, congestion, sore throat, vomiting, and diarrhea—and their accompanying caregivers and/or family must mask while in the clinic.
  • We will continue to use universal precautions for all treatment, including wearing masks while providing any dental care.

Depending on the rates of infectious diseases in our community, such as COVID-19, RSV, and flu, we may change our masking policy in the future. If we have learned anything from the past few years, things are always changing. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing more of our patients’ smiles in the office!

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we are always accepting new patients!
Please note that while we are booked about three months in advance for our routine cleanings, we will do everything possible to get you an appointment on the same or next day of your call, if you are having a dental emergency.

What insurances do you accept?

We accept all insurance, except for those requiring you to go to Kaiser or Willamette Dental. At this time, we are not an Oregon Health Plan (OHP) provider. Click here to view a complete list.

How do I go about scheduling an appointment?

Please start by  filling out our new client form.
You may then call us at 503-889-8632  or email us at contact@lovejoy-dental.com to schedule
an appointment.

Will you accept dental x-rays from my prior dentist?

Yes! Preferably via email, contact@lovejoy-dental.com, or US mail.

I’m in pain. Who should I call? What should I do?

First and foremost, contact us via phone or email. We will make every attempt to get you in immediately. After hours (if we’ve seen you before), call the office to get the on-call service number to get in touch with Dr. Young or Dr. Way.

What are your fees for typical dental procedures like a filling or crown?

We never perform a procedure without giving you an accurate fee estimate. But since fees are often dictated by your insurance coverage and vary greatly depending on the size, location, and choice of material, we estimate the cost after a personal visit and an exam—and not over the phone. As such, it is always best to come into the office for a consultation first so we can provide you with an accurate quote for any dental treatment.

Do you do clear braces (invisalign)?

Yes we do! All consultations are 100% free of charge or obligation.

Do you see children?

We primarily see adults and are happy to refer you to our local pediatric dentists.

Any famous celebrities come to your office?

Yes. We have over 4000 active clients and every single one of them is a celebrity in our eyes.
